Great Combinations
Whether you smoke a cigar, pipe or cigarette, a similarity that they all share is tobacco. However, although this is a constant no matter what you are smoking, different vessels require different tobacco types. Today at Taylors Tobacconists, we are going to focus on two of the main variations, loose tobacco and pipe tobacco.
Below, we will explain what differentiates loose and pipe tobacco as well as providing some background on both. If you use either of these tobacco types and what to find out more, then we advise you to keep reading.
Loose Tobacco
Loose tobacco, otherwise known as rolling tobacco, is very finely cut, allowing it to be rolled up so that it can be placed into a cigar or cigarette. This tobacco type, compared to pre packed tobacco, affords the roller much more control. This is because they can create their cigar/cigarette exactly the way they like it, deciding how much or little tobacco they wish to smoke.
If you are a new smoker then it may be best to avoid loose tobacco straight away. This is not only because pre packed tobacco will give the user a better idea on how much tobacco should be smoked at once, but also that loose tobacco can be difficult to roll for beginners.
Pipe Tobacco
Pipe tobacco provides a more natural, softer smoke than that of its chemically enhanced counterparts. It should also be smoked slower, offering a subtle yet pleasant aroma. With smoking pipes making somewhat of a comeback, now is a great time to sample the understated taste of pipe tobacco.
