Peterson Sherlock Holmes is an elementary blend of high quality Virginias and Brazilian Burley. There are no mysteries here unless you’re looking for the Oriental tobacco, as it has a slight spice to it but no Orientals. The flavour comes mainly from the Virginias, of which there are Orange, Red and Mysore Indian varieties. They give a sweet, somewhat citrus grassy flavour. The Burley comes through as nutty but doesn’t overpower the Virginia. This is a well balanced tobacco which has very little casing. It smokes well without the need to relight often, if at all.
