Named after Alexandre Dumas’ hero Edmundo Dantes in ‘The Count of Montecristo’, the Edmundo was one of the first extra heavy gauge, parejo sizes produced in Cuba in the 21st century. Montecristo Edmundo cigars are fully handmade in the Dominican Republic with the blend of Dominican Piloto Cubano and Olor leaves, a Mexican binder, and a Nicaraguan filler. This blend is then rolled into a 5.1 x 52 figurado, a rare vitola that provides a lengthy smoking experience with an even-burning and mellow medium-to-full body. The Edmundo has a chocolate aroma with a slight touch of creaminess that leads into a smooth, bold taste with plenty of spice on the lips and again at the finish, where the chocolate flavour returns.
